After a good win against Germany 3 days ago, tonight is the quarter finals against Ukraine to be played in Italy. Wembley was alive with 40,00- daily England supporters. Tonight there will be just a handful, if any. C’Mon England!
My chest pains which forced me to withdraw from the half-Ironman appeared a bit on Wed when I joined Les’ birthday ride when I did 76 miles. Certainly not a heart problem it seems to be in the right rib cage where I broke my ribs a couple of years back. Hopefully, just muscle strain.I did a lake swim yesterday, that was no problem.
Yesterday Norman took the Shelterbox to Boughton Monchelsea Place to support Maidstone Rotary who were supporting the Changeling Theatre open air performance of Mid Summers Night Dream. Sue and I went to see the evening performance and it was unbelievably good. A great evening watching some talented artists, some who are home grown.
Covid Cases are still rising exponentially but hospital cases and deaths remain low. On that basis Boris still thinks we should ease restrictions on July 19th. Our hopes for Spain took a bit of a hiccup. Apparently the EU won’t accept the Indian batches of the Oxford Zeneka jabs. Unfortunately Sue had one from one of the batches. It’s more to do with admin rather than safety standards so let’s hope they approve it before September.
Sue I did were at Blackthorn today, just next week and that is it as far as the clinic is concerned. Nearly 7 months almost every week has been rewarding but a break will be most welcome. We could be called back again in the autumn if they do booster jabs.
