Sorry for the delay. Had a great couple of days break in Bournemouth. It is the first time I had ever been there, it was brilliant. Not many people about as the winds were about 70 mph. Hotel was very good, their first day of opening, everyone was so friendly. Sue had her pedicure when we arrived and then we went into town for a lovely meal at Cote Brasserie served by a lovely Hungarian waitress.

Next day I started off by falling down the stairs and bent my right leg back. It made me shout and the staff came running. I was worried that I might have damaged my artificial knee, but amazingly it was OK. The first aid bloke was a bit disappointed as there was no blood. The manager attended and a lot of concern expressed especially from our favourite receptionist Latvian Lily, she was great fun.

It was my birthday so after opening my cards and a pressie from Sue, it was a walk to East Cliff along the beach. 70 mph winds blew the sand everywhere including into our clothes and shoes. Impossible to walk into the wind as the sand would cut our face. All very exciting. We spent some time in the shops and the art galleries, we were very impressed with Bournemouth. That evening we had meal in the hotel restaurant which was very nice but somewhat spoiled by a host of golf blokes who had already had too many lagers and the noise was awful. The head waiter did apologise to us and we were moved to the bar where we had our desserts which were on the house. That was the only downside of a great stay.

Next day the winds had died down and after leaving the hotel we went to Poole Harbour. Once again very impressed, all in all lovely couple of days.

Somewhat Breezy!
