Mum has now lost her one remaining hearing aid. We visited yesterday and joined staff in the search. She had it at breakfast but no sign of it so far. They have searched laundry, rubbish, lounge chairs etc etc but no luck. It really upset Mum yesterday as she couldn’t hear any of us including Malc and Viv on Whats App. I will now take in her old NHS ones which I still have and see if she can hear using them. Better than nothing I suppose.

Great bike ride today just a mile or so short of 60 miles, 32 of them with MikeD. 4345 ft of climbing so it was quite hard but enjoyable. My old Garmin no longer syncs with my PC and Strava so I am looking for a replacement. It has lasted well over the past 10 years or so. I am thinking of getting one with better maps and less technical stuff I never use. It will be my birthday present from Sue. It was nice to meet up with the Wobblers at Hawkhurst, looking forward to next week when we can go inside cafes and houses again. Les’s bike has has a split in the titanium frame and is unreparable so he has bought a new carbon bike with disc breaks. Not bad for an 88 yr old!

On April 28th I cycled along Foremans Barn Road where I found a huge fly tipped load. I reported it to MBC and soon had a message back to say it had been dealt with. Today I went passed again, it’s still there!!

Words Fail me!
