Today queues formed at shops and some pubs opened at midnight to serve drinks for outdoor consumption only. Yes, this is the next stage in easing the lockdown. Non-essential shops can open and pubs can open for drinking outside. However, the lockdown has had a great impact on businesses and many either haven’t opened yet or have got bust. We will see the impact in the course of time. Hairdressers also opened and my friend’s wife cut mine for me. Much more comfortable now.
I visited Mum today. She was OK and we had nice video calls from Malc and Viv. Viv phoned the manager today and he has given Viv permission to visit on the rare occasions as she lives far away. This means that the other nominated person is likely to be Sue but I will contact Les tomorrow for his views. It was great that David the manager was prepared to show a bit of sensible flexibility.
I spoke to Social Services today to start the process for a financial assessment regarding Mum’s payments to Barty House. I will be notified soon about the assessment.
Still very cold at present but I did an 8 mile run with 856ft of climbing. A bit heavy legged today but tomorrow I have a swimming session booked so that will be great returning to the pool after several months away.
