Still warm today but not as sunny. I set off early to join the Wobblers for the first time in several months. I was ill prepared for the cold start but warmed up after a while. Eight of of turned up at Pembury and we spilt into two regulation groups. Les rang to say he had a problem and hoped to meet us Frankies, but I spoke to him later and we must have just missed him. I rode back to Brenchley with Mike and our birdwatching expert Nic. It was a nice slow ride and we enjoyed the countryside. I managed a total of 59 miles today so a good workout.
I have been notified that we have two full days of vaccines the weekend after this one. Plenty of time to do the rota. It looks like we will continue despite some centres closing for sometime. For whatever reason, Tonbridge have nothing for a month. However, nationally we keep adding more people vaccinated so that is all good news. Unfortunately, it is still bad on the continent. It doesn’t help when on the TV it shows people in Paris in large groups with no masks on. In this country yesterday’s warm day brought people out in their thousands and one park had to be closed due to overcrowding, In many places the litter left was appalling.
Tomorrow is April the first and the Great Home Run commences. We have 22 entries all we want now is for more donations to come in. We are well over £1000 now thanks, in no small way, to our latest Rotary recruit, Nick.
