I am still harping on about the weather but it is still very very cold. We walked down to the cemetery as Sue wanted to put some roses on her Mum’s memorial stone. Unfortunately the container and daffodils had frozen and I had to try and make holes to fit the roses in as the daffs just broke off. Eventually there was just enough space. A nice gesture but the temperature was about minus 3 this afternoon I doubt if the roses lasted till we got home.
Sue was home learning Toby again this morning and I spent an hour with him designing a secret treasure island. He loved doing it as he enjoys drawing and adding a story, shame he doesn’t like maths!
Mum was back in the dining room again today and apparently she also enjoyed the Chinese New Year celebrations! She seems Ok still and eating a bit more. UK R number fell below 1 today for first time since July and cases still continue to fall. Govt being very careful and there was a comment tonight that masks and social distancing is likely to continue until Christmas!
Busy weekend coming up. A full day of vaccinations tomorrow and then a half day on Sunday. Sue and I will do the 4 hours on Sunday. Overall vaccine numbers now at 13 million in UK, Govt looks like reaching their target of 15 million by next week. That is great new but no doubt Boris will make a great deal out of it!
