I didn’t really want to highlight the weather when I started this blog but in the early hours of tomorrow morning we are going to be at minus 10 C. Now that might be a slippery problem in the morning as I have to drive my car to the other side of town to get my service and MOT. On top of that Sue will be collecting me in her car which has been cosily locked up in the garage for some time now.
So today we missed out on a walk particularly as Sue slipped and fell yesterday causing a bit of bruising. The snow is still around today and the ice has is still bad. Once again it’s been computer stuff and Sue spent nearly all morning with Toby and sometimes Danny helping with online learning. Toby was particularly uncooperative, but that may have had a lot to do with the fact that Stuart (West Ham) and Danny ( Man Utd) along with Toby stayed up to watch the FA Cup match. Danny was pleased with the result.
Our dishwasher arrived today. All installed and Sue has banned me from using it until she has test driven it herself first! Life doesn’t get more exciting than this !
Mum seems to be eating some and some and she hasn’t been to the dining room today. Hard to tell how she really is. Hopefully soon they might let me visit again. Covid cases are dropping quite rapidly in Kent except that Maidstone seeming to currently fall at a much less rate than other towns. Interestingly, we had surge testing at the beginning of the week so if you test more people then it’s likely you will find more cases. The good news is the rate is still falling and now one quarter of the population have been vaccinated. However, the transport secretary has said that nobody should book foreign holidays for the summer as they don’t know if flying will be allowed. Too late we have booked and so have thousands of others.
However, Rachel sent photos of the villa, nobody been there for nearly 18 months but pool looks great, thank you Toni, and garden needs a short back and sides but looking remarkably good. Plenty of lemons on the tree that will all fall off and rot unless Toni takes them which he should.
