In 2018 we had a real cold snap and we have another one now. Sunday’s snow has continued on and off, but it is so cold and it the ice that causes a problem In the last couple of days we have been mainly at home. Sue is spending a lot of time home learning online with Toby and I have been sorting out vaccine rotas and helping to development charity websites for friend MikeD and The Great Home Run. Both are now up and running on line. Sue has dragged me out for afternoon walks for exercise, slip sliding along and very cold. The cold snap is due to last a another few days and in Scotland they are expecting a record low of minus 18 degrees C tonight. We are quite snug at only minus 3 or 4.
Covid cases continue to fall and there is a slight decrease in hospital admissions, but they are still too high and hospitals are really struggling. The positive new is around 12 .5 million people have had a jab so far which is on target the Govts 15 million by next week. I have done the rota for Blackthorn this Saturday, just the one day again. I hope it’s another 800 vaccines. Mum had her vaccine jab yesterday and her second one will be in May.
Tomorrow our new dishwasher arrives and will be installed so I have to supervise as Sue will be shut away teaching.
