Not just that, strong cold northerly winds hitting the East coast for the next few days. I tried my hardest to stay in the warm and do my computer stuff. But come the afternoon Sue decided that we should wrap up warm and walk to the shops to buy a few provisions and a Sunday Times. By that time I was really cold in my inadequate clothing and Sue was baking hot and overdressed. However, she decided we go for a further walk in the blizzard whilst I carried the shopping. So after a couple of miles, thoroughly wet and cold we were back home and I turned up the heating.
After a warm up shower I completed the vaccine rota for next Saturday and carried on setting up MikeD’s Virgin Money Giving page for his April bike ride of 200 miles. This is to raise £200 for MacMillan Nurses. I should complete it tomorrow when Sue let’s me have the computer back. This coming week she is doing Toby’s home learning every day so I have to wait my turn.
One gain from the Covid pandemic we now have Zoom. It is the largest face to face communication site there is. Stuart is pleased because his company has their staff salary accounts to look after! However, we logged in tonight to see and talk with Rachel and Toni in Spain who look after our pool and the house between our visits. It was a releif to know they are OK but the virus is still bad in their area, However, Toni is keeping the pool nice and clean and he will be sorting out the hard stuff in the garden for us. We have also arranged for them to open up the house, check for faults, damp etc and give us feedback via What’s App. Mary our partner joined the meeting so it was really reassuring and worth while. Whether we are able to go in September is till unknown but our flights are booked and we just have to wait and see. But knowing someone is looking after the place is a great relief. Where would be without modern technology?
