So today the Govt announced the areas that will have the particular restrictions immediately after the lockdown ends on Tuesday night. As no surprise to us but a surprise to many in West Kent , the whole of Kent is in the highest risk area so is awarded Tier Three. No gatherings indoors with people other than the single household but shops will be open and you can meet with up to six outdoors in a public space. Does that mean we can once again ride our bikes in a group up to six as we were before lockdown? I am not sure. The whole Tier system will be reviewed on 16th Dec so if cases rapidly fall in Kent we may go back to Tier two. However, as many towns in Kent have rising cases including Maidstone , it seems very unlikely.

Mum is doing well today. At lunch she had two desserts as well as a lamb main dish. Viv rang her on a FaceTime and Viv says she seemed happy. So that was good news especially as it is Viv’s birthday today, as it is son Gary’s, as it is with Martin’s partner Sharon and as it is with cousin Mike’s daughter, May.

Today the temperature has dropped and I wore my running tights for the first time this year. I did my previous course and improved once again. This time I added a bit on and run just under 7 miles which was 11Km. I felt a bit tired as the day wore on, so my routine to rest for a couple of days is definitely necessary. Weather permitting Sue will try her upgraded bike tomorrow. We hope to go to Detling which will be a bit of a challenge for her as it is a bit hilly.
