This morning I collected my first two donations of food for the Involve charity who will be preparing and distributing 200 hampers for the elderly and isolated people in the Maidstone area. Our Rotary Club are collecting items for donation from local people so I decided to take the opportunity locally of cycling with my trailer and using an empty Shelter Box to carry the goodies. I felt that it is good way to keep out in the fresh air meeting my permitted exercise during lockdown. In fairness I am using the E Bike but you still have to pedal. I decided this evening to send out a FB message to our Loose Community asking for items and I will collect them! I am not sure if Sue will be too pleased if I fill the kitchen up! However, we are arranging to transport all the items to the Involve Hub sometime next week so hopefully we won’t have it for too long.
This afternoon I had tutorial number 2 on finance management from my Tutor Sue. Much better today we never argued once!
Visited Mum today. She is still doing well and keeping active. Took her a copy of Malc’s poem about Eric. She read it through twice and she kept it. She said how talented Malc is and so he is.
A new Covid 19 vaccine has been produced and tested. This is good news but there will still be a lot of issues such as storage and transport which will need to be resolved. I actually agreed with Boris, yes actually agreed, today when he said do not expect immediate results, we are away off yet. However, it is good news and we must applaud the scientists and labs who have been working on this.
