So what do a couple do for their 51st Wedding Anniversary. Well, we both went for a short 2 mile run to start with. Then breakfast, poached eggs and toast. Opened our cards and some pressies. Then time for the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph. Extremely strange to see no public but brilliantly choreographed as usual. Last night we also watched the Albert Hall event. Once again excellent show and service, brilliantly done. After the two mins silence I was about to set off on the E bike with trailer and Shelter Box to collect some groceries from one of our Rotarians. Unfortunately, one trailer tyre was punctured so just a conventional pick up. No midday lunch as we are eating our M&S meal deal this evening and don’t want to spoil our appetite. This afternoon we had a bike ride to Senacre for a new inner tube, nice to see Nic the owner holding the fort. He has recovered from pancreatic cancer, one of the very few who do survive. Ride continued to Sutton Valence to return a book to a friend, then ride back home. Over 13 miles a very pleasant ride. This evening we opened a bottle of bubbly and I went in the garage to fit the new inner tube and mend a reading light. We know how to live!

Now that is what people do when they have been married for 51 years!!

In the meantime, life goes on, Trump is sulking and still determined to overturn the election. Covid cases still rising especially in Europe and UK is 5th in the table of highest cases in the world. Cases still running high in Bournemouth our hopes of a Dec 2 night break are fading. However, we are keeping well and so are the family so no complaints, oh yes …and Mum still getting on OK. I will visit her tomorrow.
