Today they are voting for a new President in the USA. The amazing thing is that whilst the polls show Biden ahead, it will be a very close call. Even in a street poll in England it was 50/50. Unbelievable, how on earth can people be so stupid as to worship an uneducated dude who thinks that Covid is not a problem and Global Warming does not exist. After four years which has divided the population of America and almost turning it into a totalitarian state, surely sensible reasoning must win the day. I certainly hope so.

Closer to home I had my last swim before the lockdown begins on Thursday. 2,400 m today in 56 mins, including a bit of breastroke, so very pleased. It was also nice to see my Disabled Swimming club I used to run has started up again. Just in time for it to close again on Thursday! Tomorrow it is the last Wednesday Wobblers group ride for a month at least. I will ride out to see Mike and we will ride together from Brenchley and meet the others at Headcorn. Good forecast tomorrow, clear skies but cold.

We are awaiting the new Govt policy on visiting care homes. It will be announced probably tomorrow. Fingers crossed that they will still at least allow one visitor as they currently do. According to the care notes Mum is still doing well, eating and drinking OK and joining in with activities. I had a call from Audrey who lived near Mum in Vinters Rd. All Mum’s neighbours are missing her so I was pleased to tell Audrey that she is getting on OK.
