Sue had a quiet time this morning with Alex whilst I took James on the tandem to Aylesford. Lovely ride along the towpath and an unhealthy meal at Cobtree Park cafe. I wasn’t impressed at all with the cafe’s Covid precautions, sorry to say Maidstone BC. No table cleaning, nobody other than me apping the QR code, some customers without face coverings when moving in doors and more than 6 people at a couple of tables. It was a very busy day for the staff so nobody was managing front of house so precautions have been ignored. I have written to the Council with my concerns.
James has improved greatly on the bike and he seemed to really enjoy it. We even stopped at a shop on way back ‘cos James wanted to buy his brother an early birthday present. Got back in time for him to play some awful game to do with Fortnite on his game machine. No problem, we managed plenty of activity on the bike. Boys have painted some masks presumably for Halloween but also a connection with Fortnite, apparently. This afternoon I had to play badminton, hockey, football and sprinting with Alex. Needless to say I didn’t win any! Now there is a surprise.
