Yesterday we visited the Bradburn’s ( Beckenham Division) to look after the boys for the afternoon whilst Mike and Philippa went to orchestra practice. This was the first time they have got together since lockdown, strange experience with them all spaced apart. Alex is learning a short blues piece on the piano so I took my guitar and joined him. Great fun!

Today I went to have my 24 hr Cardio Monitor fitted. I have four sticky contacts stuck to my torso and a machine like a mobile phone with all its cables hanging from my front. Not allowed to get wet, so no shower, keep mobile phone out of way in case it interferes with the electronics. I can take it all off tomorrow at 2.00pm then take it back to Snodland GP practice. I should get the results in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, no surprises as I have had no dizziness since it last occurred in July.

Afterwards I drove Sue to Trottiscliffe for a walk around the Doldrum Long Barrow. Sue was impressed by my new found archaeological knowledge!? We then walked up to the Pilgrims Way and back in a loop, total 2.75 miles. Light rain before we got back just in time before very heavy rain. Sue wanted a farm shop and as luck would have it, the M20 was closed so the A20 was clogged up with traffic heading towards Maidstone. So I headed for Seven Mile Lane and there was a brilliant farm shop at Wrotham Heath. A rural route home in time for Boris’s announcement of a 3 tier lockdown system. Liverpool are going to be hit hardest but cases are rising throughout the country so no room for complacency.
