We were due to visit Mike and family today but sadly, Sue was not well. She had an uncomfortable tummy night, then this morning had some sickness. She has spent the day in bed and I have had a lazy day keeping an eye on her. As I write this at 7.30 pm she is feeling a bit better and is sitting up reading. She must have felt really unwell as she asked me to cancel her tennis tomorrow!
I have had to cook my own dinner today which was one of my more complex dishes – baked potatoes with baked beans and tomatoes! I also ate two of the brownies Sue had made for Alex. Sorry Alex and sorry we didn’t get to see you all. The way the virus is going at present, a wider lockdown is looking imminent so I hope we can get to see Mike and Stuart’s families before it is not allowed.
I have managed to make some inroads into copying my blogs onto a Word document. I have reached July now and hope to catch up soon. As I copy each blog I read it. It is amazing what has been going on since the start of lockdown in March. I think I will self publish it into a book when I decide to stop, which could be a while yet if this virus continues to spread.
I did find time today, however, to watch the World Road Cycling Championships. A brilliant race won by Allephillipe, a great break away on a 13% climb, how on earth do they do it. Garaint Thomas managed 4th in the World TT Champs, it looks like he is coming back into form.
