Viv rang and told me that Steve’s scan shows some problems which will be treated by regular medication. He remains in hospital at the moment but should go home soon. We wish him well.
Making the most of the continuing pleasant weather, I went for my bike ride with B Group. This is the last time for some while that we will be able to group up. We will be disbanding the group so we don’t break the law by exceeding groups of 6. We have decided to set up a WhatsApp group. On the Thurs of each week depending on our numbers we will split into separate rides which means different routes and coffee stops. It will be a case probably of deciding each of those maybe as late as on the Saturday. Should be interesting. I will miss the first one next week as I will be in Devon.
Today’s ride was mainly flat but I did have to get back home up Chart Hill. Despite that I managed 51.2 miles at an average speed of 14 mph. A good work out. Weather starts to really warm up reaching 29 degrees by Monday. An end of summer mini heatwave.
Mum’s notes show a relatively calm day apart from pain in her hip which comes as no surprise. I will get to see her on Monday.
