Mum is being very positive but her confusion and memory is worse. It seems she doesn’t know she has had fall and we don’t think she knows she is in hospital, she thinks it’s a nice home, with friendly people! Sue said that Mum is blue with bruising all over her head and arms but she is not in pain. She is on a high dose of pain killers which is helping enormously. She is continuing physiotherapy and this will probably help determine when she leaves hospital. It could be in a few days. In response to our concerns about Mum not thinking to sound the attention buzzer, they are moving her nearer the nurses station. Some concerns we have, she is missing her teeth, right hearing aid and glasses. I will alert staff in the morning, they may well still be in the A&E ward. I hope they find the hearing aid, although Mum rarely uses the right side one, they were very expensive.
I went for a 5 mile run this morning, got back just before the rain started which continued all day. Tomorrow I will visit the ladies at Cutbush & Corrall and update them on Mum. Later in the afternoon I have a lake swim booked, I am looking forward to that.
As far as the virus goes, cases abroad continue to rise but deaths in the UK are low now, which is a good sign. A lot of problems over exam results, the Govt have done a U turn so now results will be based solely on teachers assessments. Ollie gets his GCSE results tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
