Thanks to friend Chris for providing a new (old) keyboard and to Mike for sorting out my email issue the computer is up and running again. Hopefully it will last a little longer before I need a new machine!
My minor injury from the ladder fall is on the mend so things are looking a bit better. However, the last two days with James and Alex have kept us on our toes. Last night I joined them in the tent. They seem to sleep Ok but I think my camping days are over. The pitter patter of rain, the cries of foxes, Alex’s snoring all ensured that I didn’t sleep too well. Still I managed a couple of my make believe stories early in the morning to ensure that they didn’t wake the neighbourhood up!
Today we loaded the bikes and boys into two cars and off we went to Reculver. A lovely ride along to Minnis Bay where we had a picnic and the boys spent one and a half hours in the sea having fun collecting whelks and fighting. I did go in to ensure safety but I was very much the spectator as by then I was getting very tired. An ice cream each then a lovely ride back to Reculver. A lovely day, cooler than the past few days but very pleasant, with no rain. Interesting that the M25 was closed at Reigate due to heavy rain.
Another night in the tent but hope I get some sleep this time!
