Mike, James and Alex came today to collect a bike and some belongings left from last week and also brought a box of children books and puzzles. These are destined for Sierra Leone for the David School which our Rotary club has been supporting. Mike had some work to do so after lunch we took the boys on their bikes to the park where we spent a rather active couple of hours. Sue managed to get round the children’s assault course, unfortunately, I failed miserably and gave up after breaking a finger nail. Home via the shop where we treated the boys to some ghastly coloured icy thingy called Slush. I hope they enjoyed all that sugar!
Boris is now advising everyone to where a mask in shops, whereas his side kick Michael Gove told everyone yesterday not to bother. No wonder we are all confused. Brexit has reared it’s ugly head again, millions to be spent on new customs clearance including building a customs lorry check park near Ashford on a 27 acre field. Scotland have now gone 5 days without a case of Covid so a recent poll has shown that over 50% of their population is now in favour of independence because things are handled better there than in England. Perhaps this is what the Brexiteers want, a complete break up of not just Europe but also the UK. It also looks like Boris’s promise of limitation on immigration after Dec 31st is going to plan…. no more care workers from abroad to work over here. That should do it, I don’t think! What a shambles.
Enough of my rant, there are more important things to currently consider. Why can’t I send emails from my Mac and why isn’t the downstairs Alexa working?! The world has gone to pot.
