Yesterday we went to Reading to see Stuart and family. Roads not too busy so a good journey both ways. However, the weather was really cold with some heavy showers. This put pay to us sitting in the garden as we did last week at Mike’s place. We are glad that both families are taking the distance rules seriously. We had some time in the park watching the boys on their bikes and Ollie set off on his motor scooter to visit his young lady. We took our own sandwiches and cups and ate our picnic sitting in the car. Nice to see our waiter Stuart bring us out some coffee. It was lovely to see them again after all this time, but such a shame that we can’t give them a hug or even get close to them.
Today Sue and I started the day with a run. After Sue’s 1.7 miles I did my Linton run coming back via Well st. No road blocks this time. My total mileage 5.97 miles with 495ft elevation which puts me 2nd on the leaderboard this week with 1952ft. Just missed out on the distance leaderboard by coming 4th with 18.3 miles.
I planted a few more bedding plants in between showers but otherwise a lazy afternoon. Exchanged bikes with Norman and loaned him the turbo again. I will be out on the MTB tomorrow, all being well.
