Sue and arrived at Mum’s this morning. Headache and Dizziness in full flow. After sorting her out we spent the rest the day contacting the carers and some care homes we know. Carers can’t provide the extra time we need but will try to do some re-scheduling. All the care homes won’t do any new admissions because of the virus although one is investigating making Mum a special case. Still not sure though about a home, at the moment, once she is in no visitors at all. She could end her days without us seeing her.
We did however, get to speak to a doctor after about 45 mins wait. He was excellent. We are to take Mum to him on Thursday when blood tests, examination and consultation are being all arranged on same day. Two calls again from Mum this evening, most distraught, lost her pills. We told her she had had them. However, once again off I went to console her. After some time spent chatting to her and being generally nice she perked up. She got ready for bed and I gave her the news that the doctor is going to help her, she was pleased.
As a result of all this I missed my important leisure trust conference call, but Andy stood in for me, great bloke! I also missed AGM of Rotary, not such a problem! other than that I don’t know what’s happened pandemic wise today other than the furlough payments are being extended- oh yes and our builder re-built our wall that Nat kindly destroyed with her car last year, so some movement in the construction industry!
