I went with Sue this time as she wanted some exercise. So we decided to head off to Headcorn. As no coffee shops open we took our own coffee and a Pan de Chocolate each. Sue now clear that she would rather ride her own bike than the E Bike so once again I took the latter. Sue rode well today which ended up at 24.3 miles, which is the most she has ridden for a long time. I managed once again to avoid using the motor at all on this very heavy bike including ascending Morry Hill. Sue had to stop just once, next time I am sure she will manage it all.

Travelling along Babylon Lane, we saw a runner. It was my friend Alan from Mote Runners. He was doing the 1 mile challenge, so understandably he didn’t stop for a chat. It got me thinking, I might have a go at that sometime….Hmmmm?

When we stopped for our coffee in Headcorn High St, I checked my phone and realised I had accidentally turned of the ringer so I had a message. Yes it was from Mum’s phone over an hour before. With some trepidation, bearing in mind we were at least an hour’s ride from home, I rang the carer. Fortunately, it was just to tell us that Mum needs some more of her frozen lunches. Panic over, I will be taking her some tomorrow.

Back home I decided to clean three of the bikes we have used over the last couple of days. Visit Mum tomorrow hope she is OK like she was yesterday and still has her pills as we left them for her. I can’t say that I am over confident.

By the way, the lockdown continues. The powers that be are talking about producing an app for everyone to download. It is to assist Contact -Tracking and 60% of the nation need to use it for it to have any epidemical use. The app will be available in 2 weeks time. After yesterdays success at tests meeting 100,000 per day it dropped to some 80,000 today. I can’t say that I am convinced about issuing arbitrary targets.
