Still got high pressure with sunshine all day. However, the brisk Easterly wind is very cold. Yesterday I went with Sue on her 2 mile run then I continued up to Coxheath and Boughton Quarries. I ran 8.2 miles in total so very pleased with that. Sue has a floater issue with her eye so her optician has advised not to run for a couple of weeks so as not to aggravate it. Looks like we will need the bikes a bit more for our exercise.

We had our Trust mid-day weekly conference call with MBC and Serco yesterday. There are some small signs that the Covid virus curve may well be starting to plateau even though hospital deaths were were back up in the 800’s again yesterday. The Assessment Centre at the Leisure Centre has now been dismantled due to very low demand. They had anticipated a 100 or so suspected cases each day but doctors were only referring 5 or 6 per day. I suppose this is good news but it did appear to have been a big and expensive reaction from the NHS. A smaller assessment centre has been set up at a surgery in Barming. Rotarians have been involved with stewarding at the Leisure Centre and a few will go to Barming to help there.

This week we would have been in Spain, but of course cancelled. Easy Jet are not making it easy for passengers to get flight refunds so we opted for a voucher which we can use next April, all being well!
