Reports today that the UK economy will drop to a level unseen since the great depression in the 1920s. Cases of Covid-19 are still rising so everything looking very grim. Huge concerns also of the number of deaths in care homes. So glad we didn’t put Mum in one before the crisis. She would have been at greater risk and we wouldn’t be able to visit her.

I did a bit of shopping for her this morning. No mention of cooker problem so fingers crossed on that one, I did get a call from Tania the carer this afternoon. Couldn’t find batteries for hearing aids and Mum needed her “aspirin”. I told Tania that if Mum has a headache there were paracetomols she could take. Hopefully Tania sorted her out.

In the afternoon I did a 4.2 mile run. Sue has started sorting out the books on the bookshelf. Not many being given away, Sue is very attached to her books. Tonight I joined the weekly Rotary Zoom meeting. Not impressed looking at a sea of faces looking bored.

Weather looking a bit warmer tomorrow, might get out on the bike for a while.
