A lot colder today with strong winds and a hailstorm! Sue and I took dinner to Mum which she enjoyed. Minimal exercise today – ran up and down the stairs a dozen times followed by my daily core exercises on my Smart WonderCore machine in the lounge. That was our present to each other for our Golden Wedding last November. It’s getting used a lot more now we have lockdown.
We are keeping in touch with family in Reading and Beckenham. It’s on Zoom where all three families can quietly converse and see each other on the computer. Our first meeting was not well organised as the young grandkids were competing for attention. Great idea though and I am sure it will be a big asset over the coming weeks or maybe months.
On Facebook today Les H, an octogenarian triathlete friend of mine, is missing competitions so he has sponsored himself on his turbo machine. An amount per mile and the total goes to charity. A great idea so I am going to do the same but it will be running at £1/mile during the lockdown period. I will donate the total to Parkinson Uk. Total so far since our dear PM ?! announced the lockdown last Monday 23 March is, after 2 runs, 5.55 miles. This could mount up over the next couple of months!
