We are allowed out if we are looking after a vulnerable person, one outdoors exercise a day or buying essential food. Sue and I have stuck strictly to this. I am visiting Mum every other day and she is getting used to the carers who are doing a good job. Visited her this morning she was in relatively high spirits and has a better understanding of the crisis now. The weather is still lovely so I took her for a walk, she wanted to do the Ashford Rd circuit again about a mile and she managed it well. She even let me make her lunch!

Yesterday’s exercise for Sue and I was a Loose Valley walk to Pympes Court Farmshop where we bought some lovely fruit and veg. Today we went on our bikes to the farmshop at Sutton Valence, again we bought a few items and stowed them in Sue’s E Bike pannier bag. We are trying to keep away from supermarkets if we can.

Locally there is less traffic about and people out walking are in the main complying with the 2m rule and not in groups of more than 2 people. However, it does appear from the news that large cities and mainly London, are not always doing so. Some tube trains are still packed with people desperate to work and in doing so risking their lives and in doing so, the lives of others.

The experts think that the virus peak in UK will be in about two weeks time, however, it will be many weeks and possibly months before we are over the worst. China has now improved and some restrictions are starting to be removed. The big fear there is that the virus can return possibly from people entering the country.

In the meantime we carry on within the rules, I have a tidy garden and two immaculately cleaned cars and our family are doing OK, let’s hope it stays that way.

Sue had ridden 6 miles on an E Bike so deserved an ice cream!

A great farmshop, it is also the local Post Office.
