My return to triathlons- only sprints on docs recommendation, was held at Sutton Valence School on a bright but very cold 1st May.
Ok swim only 300m the bike down SV hill, bit chilly to Headcorn back up Ulcombe hill for return to the school and finished running two laps of the field. Beaten into 2nd place by Roy Beeley by 1.5 secs.. My finish time was 1:04:52.15. Run was sluggish but felt generally OK. Next one up is the Cranbrook on 5th June. Hope to get revenge on Roy.
Have booked Leeds Castle Tri on 25 June as it is the National Sprint Championships. Then on 5th July Peak District Tri at Chatsworth which is a European qualifier for next year in Dusseldorf. Just one qualifying chance for me but will be in 70-74 AG.
