Well, here we are after the summer excitement Christmas has come and almost gone. We decided to invite all the family and they stayed for 3 nights. 5 lovely grandsons, but put together rather lively. Foul stormy weather with local flooding kept them indoors for much of the time but we did get out when we could. Ollie had a new mountain bike, which Sue and I collected from Decathlon and gave to him on Xmas day. Whilst at the bike shop we liked the bikes so much Sue and I bought one each as well. Sunday after Xmas the weather was sunny and clear all day so Sue and I took the bikes for a spin.
It was Sue’s first ride on the Rockrider. What a great sunny day for a perfect on and off road loop. We started at Rye Harbour, followed the coast, added a roughish ride along the top of the sea defences. Went up to Winchelsea then to Rye via Sustrans 2 path along Dumb Woman’s Lane. Lunch at Rye then back to Rye Harbour. Great introduction to some light off road stuff. I think I could enjoy this!
