My Torch Relay uniform has arrived and it fits! I have my start time of 3.24 pm on 20th July near St Bede’s School Redhill. Yesterday I was asked to attend and open the Barming Olympic Celebrations which incorporated a mini Olympics for the children. The weather was overcast but no rain fortunately.
We now have 9 Torchbearers for the Maidstone Mile at 6.00pm on the 20th. That will be a great event. I am going to see the Torch arrive at Leeds Castle on 19th and will watch the Flame go through Maidstone on the morning of the 20th.
Next Friday I have been invited to be Guest of Honour at the Shernolds School Prizegiving Day. Sue will be joining me as we take a few hours off from County Show duties.
