Well Xmas is over and a New Year has commenced. In December I was informed that I have been provisionally nominated to carry the Olympic Flame on July 19th. My dear Sue nominated me and I was selected. I also understand that friend Andy quite independently nominated me as well. What an honour! I won’t know for sure till March when the official list of torch bearers is announced so for the moment I am keeping it low key.
In 6 weeks time Sue and I go to India for Rotary to help with the Polio immunisation programme. Another opportunity to be part of something special. It is hoped that this year polio will be eliminated totally in India. A great success for the Bill Gates Foundation and Rotary.
Hopefully I will stay well enough for my first full year as a triathlete. Mucho training taking place and first events in May.
