Heel To Toe
Only a short ride today as we spent a good hour in Senacre Cycles our friendly bike shop, identifying what we need to do and spend! in readiness for 370 miles of difficult riding in July. However, we had a 14.13 mile local ride and made an adjustment to Norman’s handlebar position. This is why […]
We now have a dedicated Heel to Toe website accessed from the Home page of www.riversiderotary.co.uk. Thanks also to Catherine at Shelter Box HQ, Rotary Club Co-ordinators have been notified of our event. We […]
Foul weather and hills today. We started with traffic training by riding right through the town centre and up on to the Tonbridge Road route that we will take on the day. All OK and we wore our new kit that Norman and I bought last week at Decathlon. By coincidence, as we finished our […]
Due to last minute postponement of Norman and my Shelter Box presentation at St Paul’s School Swanley, we decided to get in another training ride. Our confidence grows as we tackle main roads and country lanes, heavy and light traffic and plenty of hills. Route via Kenward where we stopped for coffee and cake. Interest […]
A short ride on our own bikes to help establish pace for the big ride. Richard and I both ride at a similar pace, Richard is starting to build up his distance capability. We rode in drizzle up Boughton Lane to Heath Road then down Hunton Hill to Yalding. Time for coffee and cake at […]

Learning a lot and making a few adjustments. Stopped off at Gardeners Cafe near Bearsted, discussed some good ideas for […]
Norman and Colin joined me today to meet with Katy and Tracy who are booking our hotels and arranging some publicity material. Great to meet up and we are all keen to work together. Bring it on!
Christmas and New Year over indulgences are out of the way and now it’s time to dust down the tandem and get out on the road. 2nd Jan 2020 Norman and I took the tandem for a local ride around Langley and Boughton Monchelsea. Only 14.13 miles ( 12.13 for Norman as I had to […]
